SUCCESS Program

Design 1

This design is largely based on the previous Girls in Engineering website design. It features a carousel with space for three images, a main dock for a video to be embedded.

I've improved the design in a couple of ways:

• The top bar is transparent so as not to block the images in the carousel.
• The colors have been slightly modified to match the Berkeley Blue that features on other Engineering sites.

Some choices:

• What images to put into the carousel. I've currently just got placeholders from Girls in Engineering
• Where to place the sponsors. Currently, I've left them out, but they could easily go in the placeholder image/text slots in the bottom half of the page.
• Whether to include a video or other media. This would be easy to do, as on the GIE page, but I left it out because SUCCESS (as far as I know) doesn't yet have a promo video.

Design 1a

This is a slight variation on the first design. It occurred to me that because the program hasn't happened yet, there's not an awful lot to say about it.

In this design, there aren't any image/quote units at the bottom, and I think the design looks much cleaner overall because of it.

There are a few options for including sponsors in this design. They could go on the carousel itself, at the bottom, or on a separate page.

Design 2

This website is a completely different design from the other two. I started essentially from scratch on this one, and you will see that it is much simpler - there is no carousel, and no images at the bottom (although they could easily be added!).

I think this site turned out to be the most aesthetically pleasing of the three, and its simplicity would be well-suited to the new-ness of the program.
